RENTAL RENO // Bedroom

When we moved into this place, The bedroom quickly became my favourite place.
It has the best light, and some of my favourite objects. That ladder, My fav philodendron, Good Luck mirror from the husband and my DIY cashmere cushions ( yes, cashmere. yum. )

Once again it didnt take much to make over this room. A swap out to simple calico curtains, change of a light shade and the exiting of the horrendous wardrobe door.

Then a case of the spots ( See my DIY here )  throw up a few vintage mirrors here and there ( I do have them in abundance ) They bounce the light in and just look so darn good! And last but not least, colour code the exposed wardrobe! I am aware that we only dress in Black, Grey, Denim and white, so this task was relatively easy for us.

So there you have it. The bedroom!

Until next time.

Talented Friends

As I have mentioned before, I have some preeeeetty talented friends. Yes, yes I did just brag about my friends. But c’mon, when they are this cool, how can you not.

Meet my friend Sammy-Rose Scarpens.  One outrageously funny and incredibly talented girl. Who also happens to be one of the best movers and shakers I know. She, along with Simon Oosterdijk have created a book of upmost beauty. A book that delves deep into the history and magic behind letters. It is pure brilliance.

So tonight they through a shing-dig in celebration.  So Auckland, if you are around, come see it, hear it and love it in all its deliciousness.  7pm at the Ironbank, 150 Karangahape Road.

And if not, head to Flotsam and Jetsam and pick up a copy. Christmas is coming. Get on it.

For a more in depth interview with S.R Scarpens herself head over to Always Sometimes Anytime

Until next time.

THE SCHOOL // Auckland

The weekend just past was spent in some rather good company.

The School made it’s way over the ditch to come teach us a thing or two.
Of course the glorious Megan Morton, the founder was there, and ever hilarious Sophie the stylist.

I attended the Kara Rosenlund Vignettes course and the Stephanie Somebody instagram debunked course. All pretty darn brilliant, All equally worthy of the babe title.

Meeting so many interweb pals in real life, sheesh. Babes, babes as far as the eyes could see.  An absolute gathering of goodness.

They are all a bunch of bloody talented women, who have mastered their art and I won’t see much else, except it you every get the chance. Go.

Think I may need to head to over soon for a few more.

Until next time.
